At this year’s Four Oaks event, Micron Sprayers Ltd, a Micron Group company, will be using its stand B67 to showcase a range of innovative sprayers with economical and ecological benefits including the Varidome inter-row sprayer for nurseries and the Electrafan spot sprayer for glasshouses.
Visitors to the stand will get a chance to find out more about Varidome – the innovative shielded band sprayer which has been specifically designed for inter-row applications and is particularly suitable for use in tree nurseries. Highly versatile, the Varidome unit allows nursery growers to spray inter-row widths from 200mm to 800mm and bed widths from 1.3m to 2m wide depending on users’ needs. The toolbar configuration can be easily changed to fit the type of plants.
Varidome is equipped with pioneering CDA (Controlled Droplet Application) technology which produces low-pressure, low-volume liquid sprays with a uniform droplet size for maximum spraying efficiency. As a result, users can enjoy a number of benefits which include a more efficient use of chemicals and greater productivity.
Thanks to Varidome’s versatile design, spray width is fully adjustable on each individual head enabling users to treat the desired interrow and wheeling widths. The Varidome heads follow the contours of the ground to prevent spray drift outside the target areas and lock in position for safe transportation.
As well as the Varidome, Micron Sprayers will be exhibiting other Enviromist sprayers for weed control in horticultural, amenity and local authority applications. These effective and versatile sprayers can be tractor or ATV-mounted and also feature shielded rotary atomisers for economical and targeted application with minimised risk of drift.
In addition to its mounted products, the company will be showcasing its wide range of hand-held sprayers for horticultural and general use. As well as precision weed control solutions such as Herbi and Microwipe, the products on display will include Electrafan – an air-assisted sprayer aimed at glasshouse and polytunnel growers. Electrafan’s compact and portable design makes it ideal for hot spot applications of pesticides in enclosed environments.
Speaking of the company’s plans for the Four Oaks show, Ausra Landey, Group Marketing Manager at Micron said: “We have been producing innovative sprayers and weed control equipment for the horticulture and amenity sectors for over three decades. Four Oaks presents us with a great opportunity to speak to our customers, better understand their needs and demonstrate how our products could add value to their operations.”
