Micron Sprayers is pleased to announce that a £1,320 weedwiper grant is now available for purchase of their WeedWiper for drift free weed control in sensitive areas. The WeedWiper uses a wetted pad containing glyphosate herbicide to wipe weeds growing in grasslands or crops. The saturation point of the pad is regulated by an electronic control system. This maintains the correct saturation level regardless of vehicle speed or density of weeds, eliminating the risk of dripping and damage to crops or grasslands and provides for highly selective weed control without using a spray. The WeedWiper can be mounted on a tractor or trailed by a quad bike and folds out to a 6m width. The weedwiper grant is detailed under item FETF215 of the 2025 Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF) from DEFRA. The closing date for applications is 10th July.
